Peaks 2386 & 2624 (Picacho Mountains)
January 27 & 29, 2026

Peak 2386 from the approach road

Now seen from below, a water pipe lines the road

The highpoint is to the left

This cliff required a little scrambling

Summit rocks

The highest rock

View west at the CAP Canal

North, with Peak 2409 in the front ridge and Peak 2624 being the higher peak in back, slightly to the right

Peak 2624 from near where I parked

Now seen from higher up

Almost to it

Summit packrat midden

South: Peak 2409 is the highpoint of the front ridge, Peak 2386 is the highest of the grouping of three, then some higher peaks, then Newman way in back. The "mist" seen here is actually smoke from field fires
