Monument Peak & Yerba Senta Butte
March 21, 2020

Monument Peak rises behind this egg-shaped boulder beside the road.

Summit up ahead, still down low in the trees and brush.

Nearing the saddle, the rocky summit becomes more evident.

Now about 50 feet below the rocks.

The top, with the snowy Mogollon Rim behind.

South view, Gibson Peak is the gentle forested bump in the distance.

Looking down the rocks back into the forest.

Montage: rock art, benchmark, and the watery trails.

Windbreak atop Yerba Senta.

Summit cairn and windbreak, plus a diving bird.
