Thompson Peak
November 23, 2014
Thompson Peak in early-morning sunlight
Same vantage point, now looking north at East End
About a mile in, a nice mix of brush and saguaro cactus
The road gains steeply up the ridge, then steeply to the top
Now on the main ridge, looking at the top
It's hard to convey steepness in a photo, but note carefully that the towers are vertical. The road here was about a 30% grade
At the top, looking north at McDowell and East End
View into Scottsdale. We live down there somewhere
Another view of the peak as we hike out
Montage of road and summit shots
More road shots, plus one of the Dixie Mine
