Excerpts from Zander Hollander's Guide to Pro Hockey, 1973-74 (by Reyn Davis & Charley Hallman)
One of hockey's all time great penalty killers, Harris played many seasons in the NHL ... Started Canada's top hockey school with Dave keon ... Partners include Minnesota coach Harry Neale and Mike Elik ... Frosty-haired Harris coached the Swedish Nationals in 1971-72 ... Team came in 3rd in the World Championships ... Joined Ottawa Nationals as coach prior to 1972-73 season ... After floundering in last place much of the season, Harris hauled the young Nats into 4th and final playoff spot ... An excellent instructor ... Works well with youngsters.
