1975 AVCO Cup Championship Finals
1974-75
The Houston Aeros breezed to their second consecutive AVCO Cup with a four-game sweep of the Quebec Nordiques. Houston dominated in the playoffs, losing only once and winning their final 10 games. In the final round, Ron Grahame sported a sharp 1.75 average and a 94.3 save percentage, stopping 116 of 123 Quebec shots. Gordie Howe paced the Aero offense, with 5 goals and 3 assists in the four games. Gord Labossiere chipped in four goals, and the Aeros' dominance over Quebec was complete: the Nordiques never once held a lead in the four games.
HOUSTON: The Houston Aeros dominated from the outset, scoring early and often and building a five-goal cushion before Quebec could get on the board. Gord Labossiere had two goals for the Aeros in the win.

1st period: No scoring.
QUEBEC: Mark Howe's first-period goal broke a 1-1 tie and the Aeros built on the lead to take the fourth and final game of the series, winning their second World Trophy in two years. Larry Lund scored one goal and had four assists in the clinching victory.
