1978 Moscow Dynamo Exhibitions

1978-79

The Moscow Dynamo team arrived a week early and played four exhibitions against WHA competition to prepare for the upcoming three-game series against the WHA All-Stars. Controversy arose when the Soviets kept a number of star players off the squad, nearly causing the WHA to cancel its games out of protest. A financial settlement was reached, and the games proceeded. 1979 All-Star Games
