Excerpts from Pro Hockey, WHA 1975-76 (by Dan Proudfoot)
The trouble with Steve Andrascik is that he's never done much. In 1974-75, when he bounced from the Indianapolis Racers to the Baltimore Blades, Andrascik produced a grand total of six goals and seven assists in 75 games.
"He's a sleeping giant," pronounces Stinger coach Terry Slater. "He is so strong that I don't think there's anybody who could beat him. I remember one fight he was in where he got hit eight times before he realized what was happening. Then he started hitting himself, and won easily."
"He's a big, strong kid. Nobody can beat him in the corners. His only problem is that nobody has appreciated his toughness. We do."
