Excerpts from Zander Hollander's Guide to Pro Hockey, 1975-76 (by Reyn Davis)

The classic complete player ... Does everything well but nothing brilliantly ... his greatest strengths are probably his abilities to forecheck and make a play ... Nickname is "Soupy", which won't surprise many people with the same surname ... Scored ten of his 29 goals on power plays in 1974-75 ... An elegant dresser ... Teamed with Danny Lawson in Vancouver ... Once centered Bobby Hull's line in Chicago.

Excerpts from Pro Hockey, WHA 1976-77 (by Dan Proudfoot)

As though to prove that they weren't satisfied with finishing first in the eastern division and testing the New England Whalers so severely in the quarterfinals, Indianapolis brass Jim Browitt and Jacques Demers continued dealing in the off-season. The Racers got Bryan Campbell, a veteran centre, from the Cincinnati Stingers for future considerations.

"Campbell will give us points production," Demers explains, thinking of his 22 goals and 50 assists with Cincinnati, "which is what we need. We n~ed more scoring. With Campbell, Keon and Parizeau we have good strength at center ice."
