Excerpts from Pro Hockey, WHA 1976-77 (by Dan Proudfoot)
There's nothing spectacular about large Charles Constantin. His eight goals and seven assists aren't going to grab anyone's attention. But the Nordiques think he has a future in big league hockey.
"He's going to be a good defensive player," Maurice Filion says of his 6-foot-2 winger. "Just give him a couple more years. He's developing slowly just like that Don Saleski did with the Philadelphia Flyers.
"His attitude really improved in the late stages of 1975-76 when he got regular shifts. He finished strong, and he's only young. He just needs time."
