Regular Season & Playoff Scoring Record (key)

Now Michel Cormier is a big shot, a respected player in the World Hockey Association, but his friends back in Quebec won't let him forget one thing — it wasn't so long ago he has just playing senior hockey, like a lot of other everyday guys looking for an extra dollar and a little fun.
"Mike is Guy Talbot's brother-in-law," Bill MacFarland explains, "and a few seasons ago when Guy Talbot was coaching at Denver in the Western Hockey League, he brought him down for the playoffs. It was a big break for Cormier, because the next year he was able to make Fort Worth of the Central Hockey League, and he was the most valuable player in the league.
"Cormier had an off-year when he moved to the Western league in 1973-74, but he was back to form last year. He can really skate." Cormier, 30, was second among Roadrunner scorers in 1974-75 with 36 goals and 38 assists.

Digger deluxe ... Coming off a very good year in which he led the Roadrunners in goals with 36 a career high ... Busy shooter, testing WHA goaltenders 242 times, tying former teammate Dennis Sobchuk for the club lead ... Ranks with Robbie Ftorek as the club's best skater ... Owns a pitch-and-putt golf course and driving range in his Canadian hometown ... Winner of the Central Hockey League's Most Valuable Player award while he was with Fort Worth Wings in 1972-73.
