Excerpts from Pro Hockey, WHA 1975-76 (by Dan Proudfoot) Phoenix hockey fans loved Peter McNamee simply for his fistic decisions over Gord Gallant, the battler who was with Minnesota Fighting Saints last season. McNamee, unlike some players who specialize in the heavyweight skills, did not assemble a heavy total of penalty minutes. Fans insist that was only because his reputation frightened opponents away. At any rate, McNamee, acquired in 1974 from Vancouver Blazers, scored nine goals and is back for more.
