Excerpts from Pro Hockey, WHA 1975-76 (by Dan Proudfoot) While developing as a hockey professional since 1967, Proceviat somehow has found time to spend summers working underground as a miner, and earn a degree in history. Now 29, he performs as though every play is being recorded in a permanent history, which he someday will be forced to review time and time again. In short, he fumes with every mistake. He sizzles when beaten in his defence chores. And he never gives up, providing the kind of effort Racers lacked from some of the players gained in the 1975 expansion draft. Proceviat's style is conservative. He seldom rushes with the puck. But he does know how to pass and get results, as his 27 assists in 1974-75 demonstrate.
