Regular Season & Playoff Scoring Record (key)
Brother of Rob Walton

At the Bobby Orr-Mike Walton Sports Camp, Michael (Shakey) Walton is an immensely popular man with the kids, largely because he's still somewhat of a kid himself.
At the age of 30, Walton likes to laugh as much as most 10-year-olds. Over the years, his apparently carefree attitude has frayed the nerves of several coaches and general managers, especially on the nights when he hasn't much felt like skating back for defensive chores, but his scoring abilities are so devastating, that Saints manager Glen Sonmor merely grins. Walton did score 48 goals and 45 assists in 1974-75.
"Mike Walton can be as electrifying as any player I've ever seen," says Sonnor. "We'd like to see him do more, sure, but the does score big, big goals".

Colorful... Was last seen moments after the end of the 1974-75 season heading toward an exit in full battle dress... Someone threw him his street clothes as he walked by the dressing room door and he just kept on going... Quebec had just beaten Minnesota to advance to the league final, and Walton was just a little upset... Nickname is "Shakey"... Mod dresser... Close friend of Gerry Cheevers... A high shooter, which doesn't exactly endear him to goaltenders... Not noted for his back-checking, but renowned for his ability to break away... Scored eleven goals in three games one weekend early in 1974.
